Aim of the game : Get the lowest score possible and even close your box. The term close your box means to turn all the tabs.
Players : 1 to 6 players ideally but also unlimited.
Equipment : 1 game board, 6 pairs of dice of different colors and 1 pouch.
Dimensions : 58 x 50 x 3.5 cm, 23 x 20 x 1.25 inches.
Materials : Made of Canadian hardwood, maple, black walnut, cherry, or custom and baltic birch. Rayon powder and oil finish.

Description : "Shut the Box", also known as "Ferme ta boite" in English, is a classic dice game that originated in France in the 12th century. It was particularly popular with sailors and fishermen due to its simplicity and portability. The game is designed to be played by two or more players but can also be played solo.
The rules of the game are simple: each player has in front of them a board with squares numbered from 1 to 10 (other versions 1 to 9 and 1 to 12). They then roll two dice and try to close as many squares as possible by combining the numbers obtained with the dice. For example, if a player gets a 3 and a 4, they can close square 7 or squares 6 and 1, 5 and 2, 3 and 4 or even 4, 2 and 1 if they wish. The objective is to close all the squares, hence the name "Ferme ta boite".
After each round, players total the numbers of the squares that remain open. The player with the fewest points at the end of a complete round wins the round. Players continue to play multiple rounds, and the player who wins a predetermined number of rounds wins the game.
This game is indeed a great option to have fun with family or friends, whether at home, at the cottage, at the campsite, or even in a café. It combines the luck of rolling the dice with a certain strategy in choosing which squares to close, making it an entertaining game for young and old alike.
