Description : It is wrong to believe that Chinese checkers are of Chinese origin. It was the American George Howard Monks who invented the game called Halma which means "jump" in ancient Greek. In 1892, the initial square grid became the star-shaped one, patented and marketed by the German company Ravensburger . It should be noted that a star-shaped variant was played in Asia but for the first time in 1928, the expression "Chinese Checkers " was used, when the game was marketed under the name Hop Ching in the United States.

This strategy game is quite simple in itself, the marbles move one square at a time or by jumping over an opponent's marble or one's own, if the square behind it is free, or a combination of several marbles like in checkers, from the front or behind. This game is often enjoyed during family or friends gatherings and can be enjoyed by players of all ages and experience levels.
